pcar964,

No I do not think it is an expensive car but it's not cheap either(compared to a Mustang). As for "treating myself" what I mean is, I already own a Porsche, a truck, a Jeep, a commuter car, and an old convertible. Do I need another car....no....do I want one....yeah. So if I bought it, it would just be a treat for myself. As for Porsche owners being elitist snobs, most of those guys drive those 911 things

Nice way to propogate the steroetype of ALL lines in tyhe Porsche family. Some of y'all really need to relax.

So let me get this straight according to how y'all are bickering back and forth........
Cayman is for chicks
Boxster is for Hairdressers
911 are for elitist snobs
Cayenne is for soccor moms

Remind me again which car is for the enthusiast???

And please don't say GT3 as I own one of those as well. So am I an elitist snob enthusiast that parades as a soccer mom??? And we wonder why there is so much hate in the world. Instead of embracing that passion that most of us feel which drove us to the marque, we sterortype and infight for supremacy as a defense mechanism of our insecurities. Sad.

You're leaving out the most obvious possibility - we just lament the changes the marque has undergone, and we see the feminization of the modern male as the root cause.

My "elitist snobs" comment was directed towards pcar964......anyways it doesn't really matter, just go out drive your car whatever it is and have fun.

Excellent point. But you are in the minority here thinking intelligently like that. Instead, others are attacking people's choice in car within the same marque. That is what is sad. I do agree that the direction PAG has gone is not for the better other than $$$ for the fat cats.

to be fair, it is an expensive car - as in most people in Europe or the USA cannot afford to comfortably buy one.

its not expensive compared to an L or F-car, but its still the price of a small home in some states!

Man I'm getting here way late on this thread, my first time in the cayman forum. I've got a 993 but often time think about trading to a brand new cayman and a warranty. I haven't driven one yet but I bet it's sweet.

About the women thing. IMO American women are just men with vagina's. Femininity no longer exists in them even though they may look beautiful.

PCar says "+1", when in fact this is his forte (criticizing new Porsche's and their owners). A 26 year old fig...

Careful Dell, he only "came around" on the GT3 recently. He used to post about how they didn't measure up, athough he's singing a new tune as of late.

Another 993 trade for a Cayman. Come on PCar, let's hear what you really think.
