Default Anyone got good pics of a Cobalt Blue?

It's hard to judge from the color chip in the sales brochure just how it will look on the full car. I'm thinking Cobalt Blue with black top and Black/Stone Grey combo interior could be a good choice for my upcoming 987S purchase.

Thanks!

I've seen a Cobalt Blue 987 at a dealership. It looked great. Then again I'm biased

Here's a Cobalt Blue 997 beside a 987. Maybe it will help...

Mmmmm..... schweeeeet!! Thanks, guys!

Tedder Bear, do you find your 997 reasonably easy to keep clean looking? While I love the looks of a clean Black car, after owning a couple I've promised myself "never again" because they can't keep looking clean for very long. Midnight Blue is too close to Black, and while I like Lapis Blue they've now made that a $3K "special" color and moved Cobalt to the normal "metallic" category. While I've seen many Lapis Blue Porsches I don't believe I've ever seen a Cobalt one in person.

I've actually NEVER owned a Blue car in 35+ years of car ownership. Current stable includes a Titanium (close to Seal Gray) Cayenne S, a Guards Red 951, and a Light Silver Audi S4, all of which don't show dirt that much. I've been leaning towards a White 987S with the Black/Stone Grey interior, but I've got to admit I'm really intrigued by the Cobalt Blue color. The 987S will be garaged, and I'll probably drive the Cayenne or the Audi in bad weather anyway.

I've settled on most of the other options I want, but Ive been wrestling with this final decision on the color!

Renn 951 - I think you'd be very pleased with the cobalt. I've probably owned almost every color of car, including many black models. I do find I wash my cobalt more frequently than my wife's silver, but I attribute it to the fact I enjoy detailing my car. It really doesn't show dirt that much more than the silver.

Also, my son's car and my RX 350 is a dark grey. Both show dirt much more than the cobalt. Good luck with the color choices. Since you;ve never had a blue car maybe now's the time. Just remember my comments are biased

Cobalt was my second color choice, but that was also when it was a $3K option.

It's still one of the best colors for the 987/997 series IMO. Looks great with stone, but I would prefer all black.

Good luck!

I ordered 997 4S Cab Cobalt Blue , Gray Top with Blue Full Leather Interior and a bunch of Aluminum trim. I ve seen the Cobalt Blue and it looks great. Just sold a 05 Midnight Blue 987S with Blue top and gray full leather so I needed a slight change. I have never seen a blue interior and have been to at least 6 dealerships so I am crossing my fingers.

Sea blue is darker and more grey than metropol blue. My dad has it on his artic car...I prefer it to the stone grey personally.

I saw a Cobalt Blue Cayman S at a dealer today and it really looked great.

I think the Blue softop would look sharp, but the Black is probably a better choice with the two-tone Black and Stone Grey leather interior I want.
