you asked "overall" porsche info...
then rennlist.
cayman clubs has more cayman info for sure. but nothing on 964, 993, 996, 997, GTx cars.
i visit both boards and MANY others. it's a full time job.

too funny. it really is (i think that is my wife yelling at me in the background, given it is Saturday night, but i can't really tell anymore!)

My answer - I use both sites for different purposes. I like using sites for track/racing information. Caymanclub is great for Cayman specific information and Rennlist for the experience base of the users.

With Rennlist I get a lot more Porsche information... There is much more local involvement... I like the Cayman Club for Cayman info but that for me is as far as it goes... Since my wife and I own several Porsches and not just the Cayman, I feel Rennlist is an excellent source of information... Recently we attended a local event put together on Rennlist and met a lot of nice people that are local... To me that's what it's all about "the people"...

Cayman Club forum members have very narrow focus. The colletive sentiment I sense there is that the Cayman is THE best car in the world, BAR NONE (Enzo. CGT, and Veyron included, 911s are far INFERIOR). I think that is pretty nieve perception. I hold my tongue there a lot to avoid flame wars.

Rennlisters are much more realistic IMHO.

Hey look a poll on rennlist like the one they shut down on caymanclub.net! Would you expect rennlist members to say they liked a different site better?????????? same for caymanclub members???????? I agree with others this poll seems silly to me because I use both sites for different reasons.

They key phrase is "Overall Porsche information" - Rennlist is the place! I love the rennlist "racing" forum! ....but I've got a Cayman S in the garage and have found that the traffic here in the Cayman S section of Rennlist has been pretty light at times.

I agree... I'd like to see more Cayman owners here on Rennlist... Maybe it would help to start a tread asking for more participation... Or something like that...

Not really a fair question as caymanclub is not a place for "overall porsche information". So for porsches in general, of course I prefer rennlist. For my cayman, it is caymanclub as it is quite active.

Why? caymanclub.net already exists and is perfectly fine for Cayman owners. Why do we need more than one?
