Picked up the car on Friday. Pics should be showing up on www.gmgracing.com sometime soon I would imagine.
The exhaust is freaking sweet. A little louder than I had expected, but it is a most sporty note. Startup and first gear low revs are VERY loud but not obnoxious, gentle gliding through the gears is somewhat normal, but full throttle is freaking amazing; sounds like a different car all together.
Not sure I'll have time this weekend, but I'll see if I can find someone to help me with some video/driveby flix. PM me if you have storage space for some MPEGs.
Awesome. Mine should be going in this week. I am really excited! Did you reuse the stock tips, or did you put different ones on?
Re-used the stock tips .. haven't found a set of aftermarket tips that I like just yet.
Depending on how much time I have free @ work tomorrow, I may be able to recruit a "film crew" so to speak and run a few clips. Palting - thanks for the info re: google video. I'll try there and/or youtube (the former seems to be having bandwidth issues compared to the latter).
On a side note, I also had the clear front-side markers installed at the same time. It REALLY makes a difference compared to the amber markers. Very clean looking.
How long did the install take? Did they have to remove the rear bumper?
Looks sweet
Install took probably 2 hours total? I didn't hang around for it.
FWIW, it took them longer than expected on account of the directions from Tubi indicating they should re-use the exhaust gaskets, when in fact, that was a bad idea that led to leaks & crappy sounding exhaust. The installer took care of it with new gaskets.
I just got my tubi exhaust in the mail today. It is great looking! I will take some pics and document the install. I like the fact that it eliminates the secondary cats, similar to both the Fabspeed and AWE systems. It sould make similar power to those. I am going to dyno it before and after hopefully.
