Default Cayman market -- how much is that Cayman in the window?

I'm wondering what people are paying lately (last month or two max) for a Cayman?
I see it's now possible to order the (basically unchanged) '07.
I wonder if anyone is getting close to invoice on these puppies.

Cheers,

Wow. Both pretty good deals compared to what I'm offered today on a boring, old '06.

Invoice is presently $7K below their slurp (MSRP is around 13% on invoice) and options are hovering around 15% so $5K off list is getting close to invoice -- give or take options.

There's $7,500 of profit in the base car. I'm not sure how adding options on and getting $5k off is approaching invoice - there's still $2,500 profit no matter how you slice it.

I'm heading to the dealer today, we'll see what he says...

Me, too. Not much to work with, but I tried to clear it up a little.

And yes, I almost shat myself......

speaking of which, I have to get my bike out here to cleveland.........not that the speed limit's would allow ANY one to be in the 21st century out here...LOL...

I was getting 6K off a lightly optioned ordered Cayman just a few weeks after it came out. From more than one dealer.

You should be able to do much better now, especially on a heavily optioned car. There's plenty of unsold Cayman inventory so it's a buyer's market!

I agree. This is what I found out in Florida, although I did not get into specifics because I decided not to indulge.
