6-spd and PASM on BASE 987 and BRAKE question
1) Just wondering who out there has this combo? Any idea of true availability? Anyone have "production" numbers of such cars...
2) I couldn't find on the Porsche website the size of the rotors and type of calipers for the Base 987. Anyone here have that info? Also, are the stock "S" brakes still larger or have they streamlined that aspect.
Thanks!

1) I have this combo. Special ordered it. Seal Grey metallic, beige interior, PASM w/ 6spd. 2.7liter.
Don't know how many there are on the lots, I suspect none.
2) the calipers are identical on both the base and S. The S has them coated red, the base are black.
4 piston. The pad area per brake pad is slightly larger on the S. Want those dimensions?
Here are the rotor dimensions: Base 987 front 298x24mm rear 299x20mm
S 987 front 318x28mm rear 299x24mm

How long did your "special order" take? Were you able to test drive a 5spd vs a 6spd (non-s) to make the choice or just new you wanted a 6spd?

no, calipers are the same. The pad area is a result of slightly larger pads on the S.
Did not drive a 6spd non-S. Just wanted the PASM so I decided to get the 6spd at the same time.
why not the S? my budget was $50k and I received a 20% discount after that.

I've seen two base cars with 6-speed/Pasm option on lots here in GA, FYI.
