Bear in mind when you're reading this stuff that the 987.1 and the 987.2 have reasonably different designs and completely different AOS, oil sensors, and probably behavior vs. oil fill level. OP's got a 987.2

Default Oil in intake

I agree with @harveyf above (comment #7). I had a similar issue where I had a typical AOS failure, replacement and then some months later got oil dripping on the garage floor. They thoroughly cleaned the intake tract (perhaps they didn’t at the time of replacement?) and the oil drips ceased. However, not even a year later, I got a huge billow of oil smoke one day (only happened once) and soon after I noticed oil spots on the floor. It’s in the shop now and they are going to do a vacuum test but I bet it is AOS related and oil dripping from the intake. We’ll see what they say, but it’s frustrating.
