Default 987.1 door handle micro switch part #?

Thanks to the great contributions on this forum I've determined that the passenger side door handle micro switch has failed on my '05 987.1 Boxster. The window does not lower the 10mm and there is no sound / click when I lift the handle. I'm going to attempt the replacement myself. I want to be sure to order the proper part prior to taking the door apart. Would anyone happen to confidently know what the part number is for the micro switch?

Thanks in advance

Matt

Pic for attention -

Oh my!!!! Your Boxster looks almost identical to mine! Dark Olive metallic over sand beige (though mine is an S and was crashed last year and now sitting forlorn as a parts car for my Cayman now...)
Does the window drop when you use the interior handle (within the first 1/4") ? or is it just when you use the outer handle that it doesn't drop? There's a module thats part of the window motor unit that could be the culprit, the door latch mechanism, the "short stroke micro switch" on the interior handle and also the window regulator assembly itself that could be the problem. I actually just changed the passenger regulator on the weekend as one of the plastic pulleys the cable routes around had split apart. The exact same thing had happened on my Boxster.

The color is so beautiful...hard to capture how amazing it looks in bright sunlight, you did well.

I miss driving this car....

Broken vs not broken

Great looking car! Sorry to hear about the wreck.

Thanks for the reply.

The window doesn't drop when I use either handle. Using the window up/down switch works fine. I'm thinking it's the door handle micro switch but I'm struggling to find the part number.

The outer door handle switch is in the latch assembly, the inner door switch is a separate assembly attached to the door panel. I believe your problem is in the window motor.

This. They fail all the time. Prob the easiest of all the parts to replace.

If you need any parts, let me know...

I just bought a used door (don't ask ).. I only needed the shell, but it came complete with glass and everything.

obviously i know nothing about it, but you are welcome to anything you need, just pay shipping.

Jeff
