Default Headlight Upgrade

Is anyone making this for the 987 yet? I love them, and i`d spend stupid money for a plug n play version of them for my 987.2. Gotta be others in my shoes. I already have the plug n play LED 718 style tail lights so I'm pretty sure it can be done.

##Sorry my poll isnt great i didnt realize you could only select one and i cant seem to edit.##

I admit to being a curmudgeon on this topic, but I have never been a fan of Porsche's application of this "four point lighting signature", as it's called in the most current issue of Panorama, to all of it's various makes and models.

Having said that, it's your car so you do what you want to do.

I prefer the dual projectors over single one. Much improved look over the oval looking 987.1 headlights.

Morimto do something similar to what you're referencing for the 997. That might be your best avenue whether you decide to go for modifying the OEM headlight or if you want to get in contact with them about getting something in the works for the 987s.

Thanks for mentioning the Morimoto headlights for the 997. That's pretty much what i am looking for.

I'm not interested in tearing apart or trying to rig something up for my existing headlights. Just looking for a plug and play new headlight assembly was hoping someone was already making it for the 987.

I contacted Morimoto. They gave a non committal 'we'll look into it, and added good headlights take time.'

So i guess we'll see.

you could convert to 997 front end and then use the Morimoto lights....

That sounds like an easy 'plug and play' solution to the problem of slightly dated lights.

CGT headlights are also dual projectors.

Thanks for pointing out another option for everyone. But i am looking the 4 point LED like the new style cars. It appears they're not available yet, but hopefully in the future. Thanks again

Wow! Those look fantastic! I have been trying to figure out what to do with my yellowed out headlights on my 987.1 Boxster S, and I think I have my answer! Are these OEM 987.2 headlights? Is it a straightforward plug and play conversion?

Looks easy, just need front fenders and bumper.

Easiest conversion would be finding the bumper/fenders from a parts car in the same color, then swapping everything over. Will be far more expensive with paint work. Also, you'll want to go with an aftermarket HID/LED kit to fit the new projector lights and the PDLS won't be functional if the lights came equipped.

Does anyone make LED bulbs to put in the existing 987.2 headlights?
