Something about getting clear coat on makes you feel like you did alright lol its deep and came out like glass. Still need to wetsand and buff one last time.

Looks great!
when shooting the clear coat, are you spraying within that 1-2 hour window from the basecoat? Or are you waiting several days and wetsanding the base before shooting clear?

Waiting several days. I’ve admitted I’m self-taught so I’ll explain it and how it pertains to me I’ve done it both ways and when I don’t wet sand the base coat I’ve had a couple instances where wet sanding the clear ended up sanding the highs on the basecoat and it was noticeable.

understand and agree. it's a learning curve every time for me.
I even burned through the paint while buffing a corner fender on my 924, all the way to metal; man i was pissed.

Painted on door and a few small pieces for the porsche. Only thing left to do is paint the front bumper and passenger door.

been busy lately and not able to get much time in on this. was able to get the front hood and driver fender wet sanded and buffed. i might take the buffing down one more step.. at the right angle you can still see faint marks from the sanding. we'll see.

Also my front door speakers came in.

Wow, what an awesome change. The wait would have driven me out of my mind but it's totally worth it.

ya its snow and salty roads here so instead of it being under the car cover i at least get to spend time with my baby lol

I'm painting some other Porsche owners bumpers right now so I'm taking a small break from it but i'm hoping to have it done by end of February.

Slowly getting this car back together. Been taking on other porsche projects for people in the area and it’s distracting me from finishing this one up but tonight I was able to get the front bumper done.

Took a little time to teach my boy how to do some spraying as well he’s actually pretty good and has been helping me with the other Porsches that I’ve been working on for others he’s happy to be making some side cash at 12 years old 😂😂👍

Front bumper is on now. Took me a while to figure out some issues i was having with the lights but all good now.

Also made some mounts for the front door speakers. Should be pretty loud.
