Default stripping down the cayman.. again

I put it up for the winter because I want to get a head start on redoing the look. The paint I bought for the grey to paint the bumpers when I did the mods last winter didn't match for squat. So after a summer of driving it and face palming every time I walk up to it in a parking lot.. I decided to strip it down and give it a full paint job.

I've already took of the hatch, rr bumper and some smaller stuff. I already have the paint and did the body mods last winter so this winter its just a paint job which gives me months to make it perfect. Gonna take me time this winter and hopefully make it look like this.. or close to it.

I really like this hood look so I'll try to replicate it as best I can. I should be able to make the hood vents... I got this

This is how it looks now.

Although where black is in the pics I'm going with grey to match the rims.

Figured I'd make a fiberglass speaker box while I have the hatch off.

Remove the pop rivet at the rear portion of this strip.
Use a plastic body tool to lift the front part of the strip that is under the windshield rubber seal.
Not sure if this next step is necessary (been awhile): Unclip the strip and/or carefully slide the spreader (center portion) of the clips to remove them and the strip
HTH

Wow. Very ambitious project. Can't wait to see the finished product.
