Or get a dyno-proven +54whp for MUCH less cash using bolt-on mods: Project 987.2 Porsche Cayman S, More Butt Kicking Power than the GT4! - Page 2 of 2 - MotoIQ

- Fabspeed Competition air intake
- 82mm GT3 throttle body
- IPD intake plenum
- Dundon Motorsport intake runners
- Fabspeed long-tube headers
- Fabspeed valved exhaust
- M-Engineering custom tune via Cobb AccessPort

do you know anyone who does this?

Look up Flat 6 Innovations. They have a range of options around this as well as LN Engineering

My Vision built 4.0L was ~$25k. It is a race built blue printed engine with all the good internal parts. Mine was low compression for turbo so I have no idea what the NA wheel HP was, however the NA 4.0L in another Vision race car did an easy 360 wheel HP on 91 octane. It could have done more but class restrictions for weight to hp resulted in a tune that rolled off top end power. For the street a 4.0L makes a great difference because there is a fat torque increase across the entire rev range.

thanks

My engine was trashed. The heads and X51 intake where reused . 3.4L blocks usually can't be bored out to 4.0L. A used 3.8L block and crank from Visions used stock got the job done. All accessories where reused. Vision did the tuning on the stock ECU. For the M97 race turbo and the NA 4.0L M97 AEM ECU. My 836 WHP TT Mezger is Motec tuned by Shane Tech.

Go turbo. If done right, you won't look back. Just manage the intake temps and don't run more than 5 /5.5psi on a stock motor. Use a good quality air / water cooler and / or a good boost controlled water / meth injection kit.

My son's car should be back together in a few weeks. I can email you a couple of vids if you'd like.

Might be a bit longer than anticipated now. Going to get a new turbo and fab up an intercooler. I will however let you know when it's done.
