Default 2010 6speed with 60k for $24k?

Hi: This would be my first Porsche. No accident history. Paint is an 8/10, interior 9/10. New plugs, brake service and tires. Still on the original clutch/fly. Is this a no brainer?

If no major mechanical or cosmetic problems that seems like a pretty good price, especially given how pricey used cars are at the moment.

I've been looking for about the same with a few specific options, that's a decent price. As most everyone here I recommend a PPI.

Being a 9A1 based 987, if it passed a PPI, then I'd say it's a steal.

Agree with others that PPI with overrev report and diagnosis of any CEL codes is wise if you can. Even with PPI, for a 10 yr old car, good idea to have a cash reserve for unexpected needs. I'm thinking of things like headliner drooping, water pump, clutch (should be ok for awhile but you don't know how it's been driven). Suspension components, engine/trans mounts and Cats should be ok for awhile too but wouldn't be shocked if you needed some of these in the next 1-2 years. Best of luck.

Buy it! You can definitely sell it for more if you do not like it.

What color?

Sounds almost too good to be true - especially in today's market. Not absurdly low, but definitely on the lower end. If it checks out - it should be a good deal!

If you decide to walk - pass the information my way!

Sorry if I missed this but are we walking about a Boxster or Cayman here?

Boxster. I test drove it yesterday and it checked out. Will perform a PPI this week. The paint is actually 9.5/10 and the interior is 8.5/10. Needs a drive belt per 60k mile service.

Drive belt is a few minute DIY. Belt is $30 (or $60 if you get one with a Porsche piece of carboard around it).

Agreed that is a good price, especially for the .2 gen cars, which this one is. Make sure that your PPI includes cylinder scoping as well, you want to be sure that the bottom end of the motor is healthy

I recently replaced the serpentine on my ‘12 Base Cayman. Bought a Gates belt that was marginally thicker. Because of some pulley clearance issues, unless you need to clear some cuss words out of your brain box, I’d go with the thinner Porsche part and maintain a bit of sanity.
