I know the feeling. I’ve had both hoses replaced. Not a cheap job.

@KrisA I love the 90's-period look! Overall car looks great with the R suspension. Are the wheels from Meisterwerk? I'm considering a custom multi-piece set up from them. What's the width and weight?

I use the LN Engineering drain plug @ 37 lbs, filter housing @ 19 lbs, not sure where I got those specs…

Got the brake brake specs from a doc I had downloaded at some point. Section here:

Note that the caliper bolts are one-time use, I replace them if caliper has to be removed.

Hope this helps.

Wheels are from Augment Wheels. Width and offset are standard Boxster Spyder specs. They could be more aggressive, they still sit inboard of the fenders by about a cm, but I wanted the ability to use spacers between these and my stock 18" wheels. Weights, not 100% sure as I didn't weigh them pre tires, but they are 4.8lbs heavier than my stock 18" setup. I was hoping for less weight, but my main design consideration was looks not weight so here we are.

Just had the stock exhaust on my 2.9 replaced with Cayman R mufflers with the Carnewal mod and Fabspeed tips. First impressions are that it's just slightly louder at idle, but throatier under load and has a really nice howl at higher revs. No drone. I didn't want it too loud so I'm happy!

Replaced both original tweeters in the dash with genuine Porsche tweeters. They were blown. Part number 997.645.021.00. Quick job, but a little annoying. My soundstage is a lot better now!

Here’s a couple, I bought them locally from a private seller, fairly certain they’re the same you’ll find on eBay so you can look there for more detailed pics

I like them too. What about leaves and such? Is there anything stop them from making their way to the filter?

also, what color is the car? Hard to tell if it’s black or something else?

Color is macadamia metallic I installed them last weekend, I took it out for spin and drove fine. Then I realized, the oem plastic trim on the driver’s side is probably preventing additional air flow… so I went a step further and removed the plastic trim you see here. Is it dangerous to do so due to debris possibly getting to the air filter, maybe, won’t know until I put some miles on it and inspect. I’m thinking I may add an additional fine wire mesh to the snorkel for additional protection.

Worth mentioning that I had on hand a new part 987-575-757-00 to replace the original because a couple of the tabs were broken. It was only $20 at pelican. But what I ended up doing is trim all the tabs on the original with a Dremel and install it back prior to putting on the carbon vents. It gives reinforcement to the area around the snorkel.
