I only used the approved facility (a European car specialist) because it was a simple oil leak that needed fixing. If it were anything more serious I would have used a specialist. They don't force their repair facility on you but there's a minimal ($50) deductible according to their paperwork if you choose a non approved repair shop.

Yeah, they say that, but never charged me the extra deductible on any repair...
