While it may be that used PDK's are coming down, look at the Yelp reviews for LAD. I counted 23 one star reviews and haven't heard good things.
As I would recommend to anyone, especially forum users, be careful about the history of the shop and item you're paying Porsche money for.

Seems like a lot of money. Discount Porsche oem parts sites sell new (reman) for about $8K with 2 year warranty.

Really? Any links? And who is rebuilding them...? I thought it was a few racing specialty houses and a few members here.

I don't think anyone buys "new" ones. Anything that is replaced by the dealer under warranty is the reman one.
