Since I was a kid and a family friend took me on a ride through a windy mountain road on a Sunday morning with a 911 cabriolet, I've been hooked on Porsche. I finally had the chance to get my own after years of focusing on the 987.2 Boxster. I think its lines are beautiful, and to me, the 987/997 are the right balance of modern convenience without too much computerization for a daily driver. I've only had this 2011 Boxster S for about 3 and a half months and it has already gone on many memorable road trips. I don't expect to mod it much, though the lack of PSE bothers me a bit. I know modding the exhaust is easy enough but being able to toggle it is important to me.

It has: PDK, sports seats, full cocoa leather interior and top, Bi-Xenons, Auto-Dimming mirrors, Bose, PCM, Clear bra. Meteor Gray, obviously.
Sadly, no Sports Exhaust, Chrono, or PASM.

It had a lot of little cosmetic issues that I didn't notice when I was first smitten with it, but they're manageable. Mechanically it's very solid.

Unfortunately I've had some bad luck, first with a crazy homeless person that intentionally scratched it, and then with a ***** that backed into me, causing some damage to the front bumper. Thankfully, security footage I was able to get showed that I was not moving and her insurance will pay for the repairs. My own comprehensive deductible is not bad so it will cover the hobo attack damage.

Here it is:

Beautiful car, and GREAT photography. I'd like to suggest that you add your location.

I do love the wheels. Whoever configured this car was clearly looking for a more classy than sporty look with the cocoa leather and these wheels, which I dig (although Id; love a guards red example with the 10 spoke wheels just as much).

I don't think the 987.2 bumper can be mounted on a 987.1 without other mods but I may be wrong.

Beauty car. I really like Meteor Gray, was on my A-list of colors when I was looking.

Which wheels are those? I ask 'cause a) I like the way they look; and b) i'm disillusioned into thinking they are easier to clean than my Sport Design 19's

Enjoy!

Thanks
They're the 19" Carrera Sport wheels offered on 987s and 997s.

Meteor gray is great most of the time but it can look a bit too bronze / brownish in some light.

Also, the combination of MG with the Cocoa top makes me more or less invisible to other drivers, for better or worse.

Sorry to hear about those two unfortunate instances, but it’s good to get all the bad mojo out of the way early in your ownership. Hopefully nothing but blue skies from here on out! Love the color. Enjoy

Agreed on the meteor gray, I like it more than a standard silver. Tempting color!

The cocoa brown interior is really hard to capture properly on camera. It can even look a bit purplish in the right light, to give you an idea of the range.

The one thing I'd tell people to watch out for with Meteor Gray is that like many other fun Porsche colors, it can look very different in different light. It can look really bronze in the high sun.
