Looking at a new car and the over-revs. Attached is the report, the car currently has 641 engine hours on it.

Thoughts? Would that worry anyone? The over-rev clearly was a single shift and happened at 427 hours, car currently has 641 hours.

Take a look at this write-up. http://www.911virgin.com/porsche/rev-range-information/

In a nutshell, these guys would say don't worry about it.

Thanks for your input. I've put the full report now into the post and updated the text to reflect.

I would use it as a bargaining point, but if it's made it 200 hours past that it's unlikely to be a serious problem down the road. Sustaining 9500 RPM for a bit is impressive to have not destroyed it, though. Range 6 is bad news.

Decided to pass on this car. I was fine with Z2 and some Z3, I wasn't even prepared for Z4. Then to see Z6? Yikes.
