JZilla and SCCA "track nights" are usually cheaper and you get more track time. I prefer Atlanta Motorsports Park, it's a lot more technical and fun.
I'm taking a break from most events and shows this year; spending more time with family.
I still plan to attend a few club event at the dragon and the Caffeine and Exotics shows if they invite me back.

This car continues to sit on the back burner as I've been having more fun with the other cars.
Been doing a few modifications in my spare time and driving it once a week, just hit 46,000 miles.
I blacked out the headlights, since I prefer the more modern look. Done the right way, by opening the headlights and painting all the non reflective bits so light output remains unhindered.
Finally got around to swapping on the Tarett underdrive pulley. Super easy swap, I'll post a how to video on that soon. If you're really tuned-in with your car, you'll notice a slight improvement. It's nothing to write home about. More of just a worthwhile upgrade when replacing the belt.
I also picked up a 987.2 TC Sportline lip/splitter. It's quite hefty, so I'm not worried about scraping it on things.
It's a 3 piece design, so the ends could be lined up with the 987.1 lines and then I just had to trim down the center piece to finish it off. A near perfect fit now. So yes, 987.2 lips can be made to fit the 987.1 without much effort.
There are still many items on my to-do list for this car and I'm slowly crossing them off. Once I'm done, then I'll get her cleaned up and get some good pictures of the recent changes.

Built a new light mount bracket out of aluminum which I bent to match the curvature of the bumper. Bolted in place using the original license plate holes. You have to pull the bumper to remove it, but that only takes like 5 minutes.
This mounting is a bit more rigid than before, which is preferred. Should also disrupt airflow over the top of the car a lot less. I ended up leaving the lights mounted all of last year, so I'm okay with this more semi-permanent solution.

Here's a shot with the bumper back on. First event of the season will be the Caffeine and Exotics show in April... Still a lot of work to do before it's ready and it desperately needs a bath.
I finished hooking up the oil pressure gauge. Made use of the sport chrono dash wart, since that stop watch is a completely useless feature. I'll be sharing a video on this installation as well. Ran into a few hiccups along the way, but I'm pleased with the final result. The 52mm gauge fits in the wart with a factory finish. I opted to mount the settings/recall controller to the side of the gauge for convenience.

Here is my how-to on the Tarett Engineering underdrive pulley install. Very straight forward and only took about an hour. The only mishap was my own stupidity of not properly aligning the pulley locking bolt.

that rollcage is lethal. seriously. If you get into an accident with that on the street, you and your passenger will be dead. Maybe for track events its ok with harnesses. With a 3 point, you are massively tempting fate. scary stuff

oh jesus, even worse. So now you won't be killed by your rollcage, but rather by your neck snapping by running harnesses without a hans? Or are you putting on a simpson hybrid every time you drive this?
