We should schedule a drive so you can get the frustration out =)

Great price at $165...
I'm also interested in knowing if this is a worthwhile upgrade. I just installed the Rennline rear strut tie-downs on my 2009 Cayman S. I had it on the track yesterday and it did feel much smoother in the rear end. I'm now looking to see what I can do upfront.

Racing Dynamics or Rennline front shock brace work to provide additional stability. Your choice.

I question their tech writing:

Cayman, Cayman S (987) 2006-12

Hmmmm... can't recall any of those models having a front engine.

Default Front strut brace

In conjunction with Pedro’s rear brace, noticeable—your experience may vary but be sure to read install instructions.

Hi all -

Have grabbed a photo from when I was doing some work on the front end of my 987s...

Looks like I have the bulkhead bracket already fitted - so would I be right in thinking all I need is the two struts and the required nuts and bolts?

Any comments would be much appreciated !

Yes. I believe the bulkhead bracket is common. The little holes in the strut towers required to mount the brackets (see photos in #66 above), less so. Looks like you have both from this photo, yes?

Hi Dave,

Had a check today and they do need have the threaded inserts - looks like I'll be ordering some parts this weekend!

Ian would appreciate an update if Porsche actually provides the correct brace for the drivers side.

Hi - I've actually bought a pair on eBay 'seriously' cheap. Didn't see the point of spending £100+ on a couple of bits of steel...

I'm from the UK, so we may have differing opinions of what the drivers side is... ;-)

Cheers,

I've just checked my 09 987.2 and it seems to be missing the strut tower bracket's.

Just out of curiosity, on what models did the braces came installed from factory? From what I've read, 996 and 997 have them, but what about the 986?

I believe some 986's have them - they're in the parts pdf and share the same part number as the 996 and 997.
