Haha!! I think that little boat landed in San Diego and cars are being offloaded. Headers were mostly for the 3600rpm torque gains.. Gonna get the little midrange bump. Already have a stash of stuff for the damn thing and I've never even seen a Spyder in the flesh... It's Retarded

But after seeing the 2nd pic of the seats, I thought, "wow, it works!"
Can't wait to see them installed! Post pics whenever that is.

Thinking about having houndstooth inserts made for my Spyder (supposed to go into factory body shop next week) to match the seats in my original owner 1971 914. Love those seats in the 911-50...
First mod will be clear corners- plan on doing that before it leaves the dealership.

havent decided yet. going to pull them out when i get them and see how easy it is to have foam cut in the same shape. if it's tough or expensive, might just velcro the pepita right over the stock ones and remove the alcantara underneath.
it will be a fun DIY project.. i have yet to see a Spyder in person so first things first.. a few more weeks to go.

My order is scheduled to enter the body shop tomorrow.
Mods I am ordering before delivery are:
-clear LED Side marker lights
-GT Silver key cover to distinguish the key at a glance from my Macan key
Considering
-black HRE RC100 wheels with sport cup 2
-car cover (though more of an accessory)

really depends on utility. if you're tracking then definitely 19's.. but they don't look as "cool".. I'm thinking this car will be good for autocross, not really a track car, so I may keep stock, or go slightly wider with some 20' aftermarket wheels to preserve the stock ones.
Trying to figure out whether a slightly wider 20" will work in the rear..
ordered the gt4 air scoops in meantime today.. the only mod i have left to purchase is the front license plate holder.. haven't figured out which is the best model/brand to purchase yet.

I am interested in the GT4 side air scoops for any HP gains they may provide.

If you HAVE to run a front plate, get the Rennline holder that uses the tow hook socket- you sure as hell don't want to drill holes!!!
Got one for the GT3 but never used it. Moved the car to AZ which doesn't require a front plate thank God.

Any other brands around to consider?

My red and black pepita has arrived... Guess I'll use it as a blanket until the Spyder arrives... Clearly ample amount of fabric to complete two LWB's. very thick, very soft, very high quality. this is $100 well spent.. and I think when I get the enjoyment of doing this little mod myself, I will be feeling downright smug when I consider what Porsche would have charged me for something similar.

All the license plate holders I'm considering go through the tow - hook hole, just a matter of which one. The top of my list is the millworks one which has a quick detach/attach mechanism, the rennline one requires tools like a socket, very impractical. The plate will go on when k park the car in the city where I can get a ticket for it. when I'm driving its in the frunk. The millworks one is easy to spin on and off.

I'm thinking of purchasing that one, and then adding the camera mount from RHO... combo solution.
