I'd be curious and could be tempted as the 3.0 turbo is really nice to drive, and would be less of a travesty in the Spyder than the GT4 IMHO.
The soundtrack isn't anywhere as good though... I haven't heard a 992 yet, but the 991.2 S/GTS fart box effect is really too much for me.

Then that said, selling my NA GT4 for a turbo Spyder... I'd have to think hard about it, would be a tough decision.

You still might be right... nothing has been confirmed yet. Porsche typically send Press information around midnight PST... unless VAG is doing a special event tonight? Either way we should know within hours if it is debuting at NYIAS.
