Questions:
1. Do you think the next Spyder will be better and what specifically do you think will be better?
2. What are your chances of getting a PTS?
3. How would the spec differ from this car, seems you have an ideal spec on this one already with the color and leather so what would you change?
4. Do you really need more performance assuming that’s the only difference?

ditto. What do you have to gain from getting another (lol) Spyder ?

My Spyder is currently tucked away for the winter.
-50 lbs PSI tires
-Fuel Stablizer
-Trickle Charger
-Full Detail
-Porsche Tequipment Indoor Cover

Currently she is just shy of 1800 miles.

XPEL all wrapped edges
-Front Bumper
-Front Hood
-Front Fenders
-Window Frame
-Rockers
-Rear Fenders
-Lower Rear Bumper

Porsche Tequipment Side Stripes in Black
Porsche LED Clear Sidemarker Lights
Porsche Tequipment Rubber Interior Mats

Only been washed once! Only driven in nice sunny weather with dry roads.
Detailed after every drive
Always stored in heated garage
Roof is always up for protection when parked or stored.
Still has that new leather smell
No leather creases on bolsters
10 out of 10, Spyder is cleaner than new

Dealer maintained service wise.

-2017 PCA Porsche Parade - FULL Concours 1st Place, Displayed at Concours Dinner Banquet as well.
-2017 PCA All Porsche Grand Display - Concours 1st Place
-2017 Oregon PCA Boxsters on the Field - People’s Choice Award

Always trailered to events.

Interior of the front hood hatch signed by Grant Larson, Porsche Spyder Designer at the 2017 PCA Parade... Video and Photo Documented.

1 of 18 PTS Spyders in the USA.
1 of 1 in 63A Sport Classic Grey Paint in the USA
1 of 2 in the world... other is in Germany (I know the owner).

Only PTS Spyder in the USA with factory full painted interior trim (CXX-Custom Tailoring). When selecting PTS, you were forced to select either Carbon Fiber, Leather or Aluminum interior trim... Painted Exterior Color trim was only available via CXX for a hefty price.

No rear wart satellite antenna... ordered with Bose and Navigation, but bypassed the Satelite radio to avoid the wart... Most people were not aware that this was possible.

Still determining if I’m 100% sure if I want to sell and at what price if I do.

It’s an extremely rare Spyder... not a single one like it and I’m afraid I will regret selling it, very similar to 987.2 PTS Riviera Blue Spyder I once had.

I’m #2 at my dealer for the 982 Spyder... but that is a loooooooong time away... earliest debut would be in April 2018 at NYC and by the time PTS and everything kicks in it will mean a March to May 2019 delivery!

Hmmm.
I can understand this as you've spec'd, taken ownership of and taken this car in terms of awards etc... A VERY LONG WAY! Well done BTW. It's such a very very special car. But what I pick up, and tell me if I am wrong, but WHAT'S NEXT for you? If you are like me many of us have PADD, right? Creative people are like that. We're always looking for the next new thing. Or the next old thing in the case of my last two purchases.

Spec'ing out a new 982 Spyder creates a brand new game. I love it as this is a good big piece of the Porsche experience. Any optioning errors (if that is possible) you thought you made you get to correct. And what about the next PTS (I keep thinking of Birch Green)?

Anyways, I totally get your dilemma. I've switched Porsches more times than any other car in the last 10 years. And the Macan GTS I optioned out? Found things I loved and things I didn't. Would for sure spec out the next one differently.

So what do you have to gain from ordering another Spyder? A life experience. Another great to look back over when one is old and no longer capable of driving. So let the games begin. And some very lucky person can pick yours up and enjoy for the life the car it's spectacular heritage.

My 2 Cents ( CND)

Want a short take? Don't be dumb. Never sell that car.

Hey there’s nothing wrong with that! Some of us tend to be a bit OCD when it comes to our fun cars.

Same here and the best part is that you have something to show for it when you’re done. I remember entering a concours with my Spyder after year 3 without any prep prior to the event. I took second, pretty good for my regular detailing effort after a drive. I bet Donovan could take first with his car based upon what I’m seeing in the pics.

I believe this is what you are looking for? I have the only unicorn 987.2 PTS Speed Yellow, unfortunately it's not for sale. Factory bucket seats, a/c, full leather, no wart, short shifter, and radio delete
