Default 2014 cayman removing wheels

I recently bought a 2014 used cayman with 10,000 miles. It was the dealers loaner car, so I know it was driven in snow and inclement weather. I have tried removing a wheel to make sure the brake calipers etal are clean and salt free. With the wheel bolts removed, I can not budge the wheels. I have tried using a rubber mallet from behind, but it is so awkward reaching around. If it was on a lift I could beat it with a small sledge and a block of wood, while turning it to hit it in various places.
How are these supposed to be removed??? Give me some of your thougts!!
Thanks

You might try partially inserting the wheel bolts back into the hub and then, lightly at first, strike those with the mallet or hammer (taking precautions for not damaging the wheel face). Maybe you could put a socket on the wheel bolt and hit that so it keeps the hammer away from the wheel. The shock may loosen the wheel-to-hub bond.

Interesting problem to discover! Seems simple, but re-bolt the bolts and drive to the dealership? I'd rather they damage something and replace it under warranty. Just a thought...

When this happens to me I can usually free the wheel by getting a good grip on each side of the tire and rocking it from side to side. Also maybe try some WD40 or penetrating oil if you can get it on the wheel to hub join. I also use the wheel alignment stud to make sure I don't drop the wheel when it comes loose.

After you get the wheel off make sure you put some antiseize on the hub where it meets the wheel so this doesn't happen again!

When this happens to me (which it does!) I give the tire a good kick or 2; it usually comes free

In a pinch I have partially inserted a few of the wheel bolts and lowered the car back to the ground. If that doesn't do the job and it is a front wheel try using the power steering to move the wheel back and forth. If that doesn't do it drive a few feet it will pop loose then! Make sure to leave just minimal amount of slack necessary in wheel studs to free the wheel from the hub.
