Default Sapphire Blue 981

Got an email from Brad yesterday that their spec 981 in Sapphire Blue had arrived (I had asked him to let me know as i was interested as a possible 991 color). I swung by (sort of) on my way home from work and snapped a couple of lousy iPhone pics.
To me: I like it better than Aqua but probably not as much as my '87 Venetian Blue, which is still in my mind as a PTS. I think they did a nice job on blue top and interior, but I think I would have done Black/black/wheels black. Finally, perhaps no other color would look better with clear side markers. That orange there just isn't good, IMO.
I'll look after they post and let you know how close the color looks to what I remember from earlier today. Overall, I think very nice.

I think the long shot of right side is the closest, but I believe the car looked better in person than any of the three. Lighter, I think, and "better". Probably worth trying to see in person if one is thinking of it. I definitely liked it better in the flesh than these pics. I can, however, honestly say I'm glad i didn't wait to order this and pass on the Mahogany my wife and daughter liked so much. That color is really growing on me - it looks incredible in the sunlight!

That is a sweet looking ride. I like the rear script but I'm glad it's not mine to wax around!

That is a GREAT color in my opinion. I think a new Cayman S in this color (black interior) would be smokin hot! Thanks for the photos.

Agreed - that's a great color. I'm thinking beige leather, though....hmmmmm. Cayman S, 6MT, sport suspension....could be a really cool combination.

I've seen this colour in person on a 991. I honestly don't believe anybody would be disappointed in this shade of blue. It is stunning.

I think it's worth a look. When I was there, they had it and an Aqua Blue, but not next to each other. I liked the Sapphire better.
If you follow their web site, they have been selling cars left and right. I'm sure part of it is the cheap financing available, but is the economy in NE Ohio better than it seems to me?

1+. Looked at a mahogany S with full paint out and inside with the Luxor beige interior. Wow! Such a rich color and with all the pieces and the roll bar painted exterior color it was strikng. And MT to boot. Very striking car.
