Default My 14 CS build

Yesterday I did the deal for a new Cayman S, September delivery. Here is my build list, the only thing that is bothering me about it is the wheels. I stayed with the 19" Cayman S wheel instead of going to a 20" wheel. Any thoughts on that, or anything else will be appreciated.
Thanks

The build:
Guards Red
Cayman S 19" wheels/colored Porsche crest
Black Interior with Power Sport Seats/Prem Pkg
Bose
SportDesign steering wheel
Smoking package (not for smoking!)
Model delete
PDK
SC
PASM
PTV
Sport Exhaust

looks like it will be a good looking car. 19 inch tires will be cheaper and ride smoother than 20,s. imho

I ordered the 20" Carrera Classics with mine and they look and ride awesome. Mine is a 2014 Cayman base in lime gold metallic with the two tone interior. I have also read that the sport exhaust is really just a novelty so don't know if you want to put the money into something else

The 19" tires will ride smoother no doubt, I checked Tire Rack and it seems the cost difference is not much.

I have had the Sport exhaust on my last 2 Porsches and like it a lot. It is pricey but if I don't do it now I will probably do it later anyway, and it will then cost about $900.00 more.

Since I bought my previous 2 off the lot, I am going to be patient and build one that has everything I wanted or missed previously so I spend nothing on upgrades later.

I have a week to change my mind about the build-thanks for your input folks.

I was going to get the 19" CS wheels but since I couldn't see them in person I went with the 20" Carrera S wheels. When I finally saw the 19" wheels I wished I'd gotten them. They look a bit like the old Fuchs wheels and would probably look really nice painted black with silver rims. The 20" wheels ride fine though and I've tested them on some pretty bad roads around here!

The build looks nice to me.

Thanks, I was having similar thoughts about the CS wheels. I would love to have a set of actual Fuchs wheels for it, but the CS wheels are pretty close. I am a silver wheel fan, so I might paint them with just the rims and sides of the spokes black so the spokes pop.

The only thing I will add - try out the seats first if you can. For me, the Sport Seats Plus are more comfortable.

I'd also stick with the 19" wheels. Although I did put 18" ones on my Cayman R, so I am a bit biased.

Hi Bill,
I owned a prior Cayman (not S) and racked up a lot of miles in the Sport Seats and I did drive a new S with them for about an hour and they seemed fine. I would like to have ordered the SS+ but I was already about $5K over my planned budget.

When I got to the dealership and started ordering, it was like shopping for groceries on an empty stomach. Surrounded by all that wonderful Porscheness, the smell of new Porsches filling the air, so intoxicating!

I got the manual sport seats plus and I haven't checked directly against the regular sports seats yet, but it feels like I lost some leg room over the car I test drove. Something to consider if you have really long legs.

For the money you save on not upgrading to the 20's, you could probably get a 2nd set of wheels. Unless you really want the specific 20's from Porsche. When I bought my car, (a while ago now!), I ordered it with the stock 18's, and bought a used set of 19's for the cost differential. So, I ended up with 2 sets of wheels for the same price.

The seats I spec'd are the power SS which were fine in the car I test drove and the older one I owned.

I have added the Sport Exhaust to a Cayman and a 911S, in both cases I had a button for them.

If this is an accelerator pedal joke... It's funny. Otherwise, I'm confused
