I do not like heated seats but the women who I know do so if you carry a female passenger a lot consider her needs/wants.

It's a good option for those who have intermitten back issues. Heated seats are very helpful when my back gets a little stiff from a streuous workout. Usually a 20 minute drive with the heated seats will work their magic, and it's a lot cheaper than repeated trips to a Physical Therapist.

Again, thanks to everyone for the comments.

So far, this is my build:

Boxster S in Platinum Silver w/ Carrera Red Leather
PDK
Sport Seats w/ Memory
Infotainment w/ Bose (PCM, Nav, XM Radio)
Premium Pkg (Xenon, Dual Zone, Heated Seats)
Sport Chrono w/ PCM
Lighting Group
Sport Design Steering Wheel

TBD - 19 or 20" wheels? PASM or Sport Suspension or BOTH?

The wheels are going to come down to personal preference, but, I'm really confused on the PASM/Sport Suspension option. Who here has driven a 981 regularly on the track? Which do YOU prefer?

in the UK, Sport Suspension (20mm lower than standard) is not available with PASM (10mm lower).

Think about Sport Suspension and 19" wheels .. the higher profile tyres should take away a bit of the potential harshness of the Sporr Suspension.

If you haven't done so already, you may find it enlightening to look at the thread on the 991 forum tittled "What option did you miss?"

Forgot to add the sports steering wheel. Especially with PDK, must have paddles.

If you could see my PT you'd turn off the seat heat and visit her every day.

Yes, but can I afford her? Moreover, I believe that my wife would frown upon these visits, and that could get reallllllllly expensive.

Now that you mention it, I'm not sure anyone on this forum does. Most GT3s aren't tracked. It's going to be even more rare for a boxster to be tracked. Nothing wrong with that, it's just the way things are. I've been trying to convince my neighbor to track his 981 with me, but he continues to resist....

I intend to track my 981. Waiting for my new garage to get built so I have somewhere to store extra wheels and tires.

Do you have PASM, Sport Suspension, both or neither?

Since I sold my race car, I have tracked my 981 and plan to continue. I'd like a stiffer suspension but PASM is a pretty good compromise for a street-driven car. The car understeers a good bit out of the box but I haven't tried it again since realigning. I was able to get almost a whole degree negative camber in front, which is a nice improvement over previous gen cars. Anyway, definitely fun!

PS. not too impressed w/ the OEM Pirelli's on the track so would like to get a 2nd set of wheels and run some R comps eventually. That said, the car is respectably fast even w/ the shortcomings I mentioned.

PASM and Sport suspension are mutually exclusive.
