I had today my tires replaced and alignment done at a Porsche dealership. I told to the service advisor several times to make sure that they do the alignment with the factory specification for X-73. As I took my car back first thing I noticed was that the ride was much softer and second thing I noticed was when the steering wheel was fully straight the car would pull to the right. Attached is the alignment report (which doesn't specify anything about X-73). For all the experts here: Does this seem to be ok? BTW: I am also super unhappy with their tire job. They pulled the old weight bars and left the dirt of the residuals back there, which looks like cr@p. The new weight bars are put on fully crooked and it all looks really bad. On top of that they scratched one of my wheels. This never happened to me with any of the discount tire stores or Costco! But the tire thing is a different story... Would appreciate when one of the experts could comment on the alignment. BTW, the wheels are 19 inch. Thank you in advance!!
It's been a while, but after I installed my X73 on my CS, I wanted an moderately-aggressive alignment that would be good for both track & street driving without wearing the tires out prematurely. I did a fair amount of research here and in the DE forum on alignment specs that provided what I was after.. I basically told the shop what to put the measurements at.. I have 20" forgeline wheels with MP4S rubber
I can say that I LOVE this setup for both track & street.
Here's my printout..
Looking at it, I'd say I requested:
F: -1.5 Camber and zero toe.
R: -2 Camber and .1 toe
I would NOT be happy about a scratched wheel.. you might expect that someplace other than a Porsche dealership..

Thank you for your answer! I know quite a lot about the 981 and have done lots of DIY projects but when it comes to alignment I don't understand anything. Can you please have a look on my alignment numbers and tell me what you think. I have to go back there anyway because as mentioned the car pulls to the left when the steering wheel is in the center (this was not the case before the alignment!!) and I would like to know how to optimize those numbers. BTW, my X73 was factory installed and the new tires are goodyear Eagle F1 asymmetric 2. thank you!!
Neither is quite right but the "before" alignment is more reasonable than the "after". I'm not sure what you were suggesting but the softer ride would be from the tire change not the alignment.

Thank you. My whole point is, I don't think the service advisor took my request seriously to align to X73 factory specs. You see on the report there is no mention of X73. I also don't know where the pulling to the left is coming from after the entire tire change/alignment job. I just wanted to know what to tell them when I go back. I don't want to track the car but would like to have the sporty feeling of the X73 when I drive on the street. I haven't tested the full thing yet because the tires are way too new to go all in.
It is really interesting: This is the 4th service adviser at 4th dealership who dosen't have any effig clue about anything. All 4 guys were less than 6 month at their job and their level of service and knowledge is far below my Volvo or infiniti service people. This guy today didn't know anything about Porsches. I think that was anyway last time I went to a dealership. All the other stuff will be done by my Indy, who is a stud.

+1 with this set up. I did -1.5F and -1.8R, which is essentially the same. Find a good indy that specializes in Porsches and has track-prep experience.
With stock suspension the only real distance between a "track alignment" and "street alignment" is the street alignment should probably have a bit more front toe in...oddly the one thing the dealer undid with that alignment. Ignore the specs to some extent - max front camber (probably in the 1-1.5* range) the same to .5* more rear. Toe set within factory specs is fine but it needs to be even side to side.
Also, now realizing that the printout is in degrees and minutes, not decimal degrees, the "before" alignment was actually pretty good.

Does anyone have a similar report from the dealership which indicates is for X73 on top with the factory specs? I want to just bring it over to them and tell them to adjust it that way.
