Default Unidentified part behind front lip

On a recent excursion I ran over a those pesky concrete parking bumpers. The front lip under the bumper is still secured but the plastic shield right behind the lip seems to have cracked. It is as wide a the lip, and has perforated areas on either side of the panel. One of the body fasteners has partially dislodged. I've searched a number of sights and and can't discover the part number or name of the under front bumper part. Can anyone assist?

Is this maybe what you're after? It's the only thing I can think of in that area that has "perforations." Porsche part is "spoiler." https://www.sunsetporscheparts.com/o...981505525021e0

Here you go.

Go to page 255 of the pdf catalog at the bottom of the page: https://www.suncoastparts.com/category/981BOXSTERS.html

The following pages will correlate the numbers to the part numbers and nomenclature. .

Download the parts diagram from HERE. It has an index to make navigation easier.

As best I can tell, if you your car isn't a GTS model or has option code XAT (sport design package), the part you are referring to is an integral part of the bumper cover. Hopefully you are referring to part 12 in the diagram though, as that part is removeable.

You can watch Jeff Richardson's great YouTube video for 981 front bumper
. At 16:05 you can see the removal of part 12 from the bumper cover.

That picture is exactly the part that is damaged under the bumper. Attempting to see if it fits at Suncoast, by entering the year and model the system, it responds it isn't correct for my car. I must have an option that I'm not aware of for my base model Boxster 2014. Is there a means to find all the option codes for my car. I have the window sticker but I believe it is too general.

If your cracked part is substantially identical to the photograph I posted, and the part is merely cracked as you stated, you may wish to consider removing the part and taking it to a fiberglass repair place (car body shop or boat repair shop) to inquire whether the crack can be repaired. A repair is bound to be less expensive that replacing yours with a new part (assuming you can find a purveyor). It's a non-structural component and it may not be necessary to even be repaired unless you believe the crack may expand or worsen or you're generally ocd.

Whatever you do, don't believe the guy that already answered your question. The Suncoast system says it isn't correct for your car because it isn't. It's for a Cayman. They are different. 981 Boxsters have three available bumpers 1) the base & S model 2) GTS model 3) models with Option Code XAT - Sport Design Package. If you don't have a listing on your window sticker that shows XAT or Sport Design Package, and your base model looks pretty much like all the others out there, then you have the base model bumper, which has your broken section as an integral part of the bumper cover. I'll save you the trouble of typing in the Google search engine. See the images HERE.

Didn’t think it was, but I was the one who led the OP down the rabbit hole, not knowing the differences between my Cayman and his Boxster.

That's interesting that the Boxster and Boxster S is made as a one-piece bumper cover and the Cayman and Cayman S is two separate pieces. I'm sure the OP has a different word for it than 'interesting' though. I hope everything works out as good as it can for you.
