Default Cracked headlight fix?

Hello everyone. I’m sure this has been posted before but I’ll ask again. Does anyone have any solutions for the cracked headlamps? See picture below.

If it’s only on the outside you can sand/polish it out, then probably ppf them. But a common failure is to have ‘internal’ failure as well.

otherwise you have to replace the lens, you can DIY or send them to Rennlights. Or worst case you have to replace the whole light assembly.

I think most people go to @RENNLIGHTS

Been there, done that...
If you do it yourself, the lens (pair) can now be had for around $100 on eBay. The downside is the amount of time to disassemble. Porsche uses an RTV type adhesive and you cannot just heat up the headlamp to remove. You have to cut/dig out the RTV and dremmel off the outer edge of the lens to have access to the channel.

Those aren't cracks. That's a common failure of the lense coating that you are seeing, and has been stated, must be sanded off completely and then the lense polished and recoated with some other UV protection. The other option is swap the lenses out for new which is very labor intensive, so I would consider the "Rennlights" link above in post #3 where you have someone that's done it multiple times to do it for you, or simply swap them out with another set he already has ready to go.

I'll be doing this project again next week when I pick up my GTS.

No problem.
The new lenses are on their way, but the car is taking a while due to the weather/snow up north.

Last time I didn't really post many pics during the process. I'll try to do a better job this time and post more during the deconstruction phase.
