Diamond button is lost from the steering controls.

Wait, what? You lose the diamond button when the Mr12Volt module is installed, even if it's programmed for something unrelated to audio?

The multifunction button does not operate with mr12volt. Not related to other car functions.

I goitcha. So it can still be programmed to return to the gauge display in the multifunction cluster, then, just not to skip tracks or pause/resume or whatever.

Hi Roman /lads

ive just fitted another Mr12v as it was a game changer in the Cayenne.my 2016 PORSCHE SPYDER has pcm3.1 on sound package plus.i didn’t realise it didn’t have most bus feed but found a video showing how to chain from HU to Mr12v blue box.Everything now working bar the following issues so if anyone can help maybe pinpoint the first area to check please.

Headunit resets on its own
video lost appeared briefly on driving cluster if sat nav screen live.
sound stops and restarts only if I switch to radio etc and then back
OEM rev cam doesn’t show on Mr12v screen, setting to one.works on std pcm modes

cheers

I'll use my vehicle as an example. I have android. I set my phone to recognize the mr12volt and pcm as "safe" and so I don't have to unlock them.

In this setup, but I the android auto is booted and music is playing before I finish buckling my seat belt.

The system remembers your last use (Navi, Pandora, waze etc) so you boot right in.

Most often when pcm's reset on their own they are having a "bootloop" and issue. Often the failure is the hard drive. I'd hope pcm bootloop.

Roman, I'm looking to order a unit for my 981S (Bose+sat radio) -- do I need to order the $15 installation accessory kit in addition to the box itself? I'm guessing not, but that leaves the question of who does need to order the accessory kit.

Question #2 -- do you (or anyone else) have any backup camera recommendations, or is it best to just order whatever looks good on Amazon at the moment?

Install kit is not needed. I include the torx 8 driver, and tape and zip tie in the kit in case you don't have it. Makes for smooth install. Plus the kit is free if you scroll down the page and order the bundle with the car phone charger.

Default Looking for shop to do the Mr12volt install

I was wondering if anyone knows of a shop who has experience doing the installation for the board and a backup camera in the greater Washington DC, Md, Va area?

Is an extra adapter needed to integrate Mr12Volt carplay with Bose systems?

Our system connects the same way to base, bose, and burmeister. No cutting or splicing.
