Am I crazy? Considering spending just under $80k for a 2016 Cayman GTS.

Check out Capitolone motors
That gts I posted is still available .. a few extra steps to get licensed but I am so happy with my 981 s. I saved 20k so I don’t care about resale Someone like me will buy it with savings. Got to inspect the vehicle and what was done.

FWIW I just bought a 25,000 mile 2014 S PDK that stickered at $90,860 for $56,129. Looks like new. I did not even consider paying $20,000+ more for a GTS.

I could just be imagining this, but I think there's a distinct price differential between PDK and manual with PDK being cheaper.

For comparison, I just bought a 2016 Cayman S with 7k miles for just under $65k. The original MSRP was around $67,500 as it's a low option car. I probably paid more than the original owner did when new - crazy times. I got everything I wanted except Carrera S wheels and Sports Exhaust. I plan on adding the wheels when I need tires and possibly the exhaust if it's ever in stock again. It had only one option I didn't really care for and that is power folding mirrors, which I have already switched off. Pretty clean car - Guards Red with Black leather, 6-speed, sport design SW, silver trim inside.
It had potentially 7-year-old PPF on half of the car which I'm in the process of removing. I'll be doing paint correction on it after that and some minor PDR work. It has some scuffs under the front bumper cover which I will address in some fashion at some point. Not cheap, but the other alternative was to spend $100k+ with ADM on a 718 4.0. It seems like a bargain in comparison even though the new car is perfect and fantastic, I'm sure.

No, you are absolutely correct - that's why I specified PDK. But I was also looking at a 15,000 mile manual w/ brand new tires that stickered $86,000+ for $60,590.

Paid $67k for my '15 PDK GTS last September-ish. Felt it was a good deal at the time based on the other prices I had seen. It's well equipped and only 18k on the ticker. I'm 3rd owner.
I've dumped another $10k into it probably with wheels/tires, wrap, grills, headers, filters, tune, etc. Not sure I'll ever sell this thing, such a pleasure to drive! Hope you enjoy yours as well.
