Thanks!
Did you get the coilovers installed yet?
I've the bilsteins on mine, FYI I've literally about a mm or two between the lower spring seat and the tire running the same size/offset wheels as you with 295/30/20 PS4 and currently 295/30 PA4 winters.
I haven't had any rubbing like what you mentioned in your other post though, did one autocross with them last year too.
The APEX wheels look great! I've the same ones to put on once it warms up enough here.

Did my first oil change after 13 months of ownership. The filter was more of a pain in the *** than I expected, but it went pretty well overall. FCP Euro puts together a nice all inclusive kit for a decent price.

im a bit annoyed at the oil service reset. I have an iCarsoft tool that’s always worked great, but even though all seems to work right with the tool, the damn indicator won’t go away. I’ll mess with it more tomorrow. Time for beer.

which iCarsoft tool? I have the POR V2.0 and I was able to reset it without issues.

Def agree the filter is a pain in the a$$. i covered it with a plastic bag and slowly took it out. had the new housing with filter/gasket ($22) ready to go...which oddly is cheaper or same price as buying just the filter/gasket.
I did the oil change on thursday. drained 8.25 qts in about an hour. put 8 back in and it's at 2 bars. going to leave it at that for now.

this time i got a new drain pan and I was able to easily pour it into two 5 quart jugs to measure what i took out.
Amazon Amazon

also used 5W-50 this time instead of 0W-40.

Make sure you are using the correct function within the iCarsoft, as there is more than one. Its called "oil lamp reset" if I recall correctly from mine. This is different than the two service reset functions which are for resetting the intermediate and major service warning popups, and have nothing to do with the change oil reset.

I have the POR V2.0 as well.

now for the embarrassing part. Seems I was doing everything right, except knowing what day it was. I was entering the 26th (yesterday) and since that day was in the future, it didn’t work. Did the real date today and worked like a champ. So stupid. And funny.

thanks all.

Every manufacturer should make the engineer change the oil at least once.. Agreed, for something that should be easy, its not great.

Looking good. DA polisher? What products are you using? I'm planning to re-do mine this winter and have had good luck with the new Turtle Wax Max products.

Thnx ! Im using a Porter cable with 5” backing plate. I’m using griots correcting cream. The 5” plate is hard to get into tight spaces but does the job.

Nice work on the paint correction. Any need to refine it after the initial pass w/ FCC?

I would make a total of 3 passes per section. On the last pass I spray a bit of quick detailer to thin out what’s left on the pad ( if that makes sense). I’ve been doing it that way and haven’t needed to do a final polish to get rid of hazing.

I have a Porter Cable as well and something that really helped me on the more curved panels was a thick foam pad. I would use a more compliant pad combined with slightly more aggressive compound to offset it. I used a 5 inch backing plate for my entire car and the pad would help conform to the curvature better. Looks like you are getting great results. I made 3 passes per panel as well, anything less would leave stuff behind.

Here are the products I used for my car. I had never used the Sonax before and like it about the same as the Meguiars and Menzerna that I'm used to.
