two years ago my NY Dealership charged $1425 to install the PSE I bought off Suncoast. I wanted the on / off switch since when I park up my driveway I pass under my neighbor's window. its super tight so I have to go slow and inch in - in hindsight I should have sent hm the bill for the switch = )

I paid ~$900 for labor to fully retrofit PSE.

You don't have to use the sport exhaust tip. I initially wanted to use the base single exit, but got Sharkwerks GT4 tip.

So the single tip of the base boxster will work with the PSE without any difference in sound compared to the sports tips? Who has currently the best deal on PSE (without paying tax?) thank you!

I don’t know about the tips, but I just got my PSE at Suncoast Parts. They had the best price that I found.

Got mine from Suncoast and love it!!! I paid $1K for the install at a reputable local Indy shop. Included mapping the console buttons.

I have a 2014 cayman and just had an Indy install the PSE kit that I ordered Suncoast and reused the stock tailpipe. No issues at all. Didn’t want to spend the extra money as well.

Is it the base Cayman with the single tip?

I’ve just done it (admittedly on a 987.2) and it’ll fit with the base tips. I had a set of sports tips that I couldn’t find, so I just fitted the PSE with the originals.

I then found and fitted the sports tips. It’s difficult to say if there is a difference in sound - the PSE sound changes a little in the first few hundred miles anyway. If the tips have made a difference it is subtle to the point of being un-noticeable.
