Unfortunately, it didn’t really help me drive very smoothly, that’s all on me!
It takes a loooot of seat time to be smooth at AutoX, but at least you're out there doing it! A fast AutoXer can go on a track for the time and be fast right out the gate, it trains your brain to think FAST so everything on track is in slow motion in comparison. You take a fast track guy and put him in an AutoX for the first time and they are usually Terrible lol. AutoX and Karting translates up very well as the basic foundation for well rounded and fast/smooth drivers. Keep it up and thanks for posting your feedback in the thread, very glad to hear you're enjoying it!

We are happy to have you join the SOUL fun, I'll shoot you a PM to chat about non valved vs valved and we can take things from there : )

We have been inundated with 981 Customers choosing our products to amplify the performance of their Caymans and Boxsters in recent months. One piece of feedback I keep recieving is that our systems "sound SO good!" One big advantage with SOUL lies in the fact that when we began this company, we were able to take a fresh approach on design. A lot of the products on the market were designed in 2009-2010 for these cars, but things have evolved over time. The implementation of dual-flow paths, the internal construction of our high-flow muffler, and even the specific angles we use in our X-Pipe all add into the equation of the best sound, and the best performance on the market.

For PSE guys who want the most power, I've had several customers go with our Sport Headers, X-Pipe and a Tune. These 3 products will absolutely transform the feel and performance of a 3.4L 981, making a very nice, and distinct character change in the tone. Base 2.7 customers really like our Performance Exhaust System, or those who want the ability to cruise under the radar might opt for our Valved Exhaust System.

I love exploring my customer's needs and matching them up with the perfect solution from SOUL. If you have any questions, shoot me a DM, Email or phone call.

Welcome Project 981 Boxster S! I've always lusted over the beautiful curves and serious performance of the 981 platform and it's the right time to enjoy the flat six symphony while we still can. Thank you to everyone who has supported SOUL for helping to make it happen. We'll be modding it thoroughly here at SOUL and documenting it to help you make decisions with your own mods. My partner isn't concerned with the "race" side of things and I have a 981 1.8T to get my rocks off with spartan sportiness so this will be as aggressive as possible while retaining Porsche comfort.

Unfortunately it came with a stumbling / hesitation issue that I need to sort out first. In time!

Just tagged you in a post on P9. again, not sure it's what you're after, but maybe worth exploring if nothing else solves the hesitation?

Thank you! I've seen most of the relevant threads including that great one. I haven't had any CEL's yet pointing me in a specific direction. I'm starting with coils and plugs and if that's not the issue I'll move to PIWIS monitoring, looking at vacuum lines, gaskets, VarioCam solenoids, and then intake port cleaning. After several long months of tearing the 914 apart and putting it back together this isn't how I wanted to start things off with the 981 but c'est la vie!

I had the titanium-tipped valved Soul Performance exhaust installed on my Boxster S last week... and I'm really pleased with it. The sound is insane and it has really livened up the driving experience, I think I've driven about 500 miles in the past week 😂. Valves closed is a fair bit louder than the non-PSE exhaust my car was originally equipped with, and valves open is pure hooligan mode which I can't imagine I'll use more than 5% of the time. The sound over 4k RPMs is glorious and addicting, one of the best sounding cars/exhausts I've ever heard.

The only very minor thing I would change would be to have the car start with the valves closed versus open, just to save hitting a button before driving. Is there a way to configure this, Soul?

Thanks for the very kind words! We feel like we have a bit of something special designed into our exhaust systems!

Try this: Before you start the car, put the car into accessory mode, (brake not engaged so it doesn't start), hit the closed button on the valve controller (or your Homelink if you programmed it in), then start. It should start with the valves closed, or close them very quickly. Let me know if that works!

My customers absolutely love our Valved Exhaust System for the 981's!
