Lagoons new owner sent me some pics from her trip to body shop with a panel off re-spray and she is looking Great! Nice work Brendan. A happy ending indeed.
Great looking car! What is the “correct” way to paint these cars: all doors, fenders, lights, trim and hood off? Or just the lights, trim and glass?

Not that I have those skills, but if looking for the best possible outcome, I would take off everything that could be taken off, and each part painted individually. Of course, that would also include gutting the interior and removing the engine as well.
This brings a tear to my eye... It really is a good color for the car.
I'm glad that at least one manufacturer still throws some crazy colors out there, without paying tons of money to do it, and it's not Porsche.
Stuff like this makes me want to save for a PTS car in a classic or "unloved" Porsche color just to get away from the silvers, blacks, grays, and whites.
Howdy! I just now learned of this thread, so I guess I should introduce myself as the *other* Lagoon Green owner in North America.
Bought the car in 1999, and first took it to the track in 2000.
But it's time to pass the torch, as the car will be going to a new owner soon (it's been for sale): https://mart.pca.org/ads/50707
