I hate having the wrong example pictures up on 968register.org but some of these cars are so rare I haven't seen one in my 22 years of 968 ownership. The matador is such an example. I had to purchase the car to get a proper photo of this rare 1 of 2 interior.

And we just had another example. Fellow 968er John spotted this hurting 968 for sale and provided me the VIN. I was surprised to see it was a very rare code 54 Special metallic 92-only Lagoon Green 968. It was a $1500 paint option. They only made 2 coupes in this color and not a single cab so it is RARE! On the website we had a picture of a 928 to show the color. It is a light silver with a green tint.

Unfortunately, John missed the car but he did grab a few photos and now Adam has updated the site to have a proper 968 example of this rare color. Not a bad color IMHO.

I love how many colors the 968's came in. I don't know of another car that I've run across that have had the same spectrum.

33 colors! and that does not include color to sample. But that is nothing compared to the 98 interior offerings!

My 92 cap VIN # 169 had different headlights left and right. The picture above looks like it has a different left headlight lens. Jeff, how early was this car?

Interesting color. Unless it is more green than it appears on these photos it appears as a silver with a green tinge much like Polar Silver is a silver with a blue tinge.

I remember the different headlamps on the 968gene cab. IIRC, the drivers lamp also did not say BOSCH. That being said, my 112 coupe is an Oct 91 build with identical headlamps. That might be from replacements due to damage - no way to know.

Jeff, I've seen your car. Are your lamps identical? How about the UBER early '91 build that was recently discovered? Can the owner give us a comment on those lamps?

I was interested in this one and spoke with the seller, but I just had to pass on it, to much of a project car. Love the color though.
