I wonder if anyone know if it is possible to adjust a 993 headlight correctly when using 993 light conversion fenders like Deutsch nine and alike? It is sitting in a lower angle than on the 993 so it might result in adjustment issues.
I haven't read/seen anyone I know using the D9 products. I've read that they are aimed 'low', but I have no first hand knowledge of this.
There are a couple of others who have ventured on in their own pursuit of the 993 headlight mod, but again, all I have seen are pictures - no direct hands on experience with their results. OD has incorporated them, but now sure how his headlight angle turned out. The pictures look great though.

In the late 1992 the 968 Roadster project was cancelled in favour of the Boxster study presented in early 1993.
Actually the white/black widebody car seems to have the D9 fenders. questions is though if it is possible to adjust the headlight accordingly in that angle.
I got a set of those D9 fenders but it will be alot of work to get everything to fit so if I start all that work it would be nice to know if it is possible to get it to work properly.
The angle on the blue car is the correct angle for the headlight but to me does not look right on the 968 (all respect to the owner and work put into it though)
Regards

The angle of the headlight on that concept car is very much alike the D9 fenders. This makes me think it will work but since it is a concept car it is hard to know if that is a fact.
It sure looks good though and it is a shame porsche didnt make them like this in the first place.
A enthusiast in PA. He is a lurker here from time to time (I think). He posted these on FB last year. They are apparently replacement fenders.
I have a set of the 993 headlights in the garage. My thoughts are if one were to adapt the 993 headlight housing/receptacle from the 993 fender and associated opening to the 968 fender and pay close attention to the existing headlight recess/area - the functionality of the aiming system should be retained.
The headlights on the 993 are adjusted by a switch on the dash which raises/lowers the headlight aim by using a small electric motor that is integrated into the headlight housing. So, as long as you mount the headlights with the fender recess and include the switch/motors for the headlights you should be good to go.
These are cool but the only problem I have is that they are black inside. I'm not sure If it would look that great on my red car. If they were silver/chrome inside, I would probably pull the trigger on them.
stuffing it into some of the downhill corners on the dragon, modern headlights with the sharp cutoff leave your line of sight in the dark. love the look though
