She's finally home...first 968 in North America is back in USA!
It took a lot of patience waiting for the car to get shipped and re-imported after living in Canada for many years but she's finally in the garage.
North American 968 Register production profile – Coupe NS820067
Factory options with option codes:
o LC Partial leather in Cashmere
o 220 Limited Slip Differential
o 383/387 Driver and Passenger Sport seats (1 of 154 coupes)
o 403 17” Cup1 wheels
o 490/494 Hi-Fi sound with 10 speakers and amps
o 691 AM/FM single in-dash CD-player (CD-2)
o 740 Show/Exhibition car preparation (1 of 10 coupes)
Per Jeff:
The car is the seventh coupe produced for the North American market. It has a build date of September of 1991 and has the early vehicle features such as the recessed hood badge and the larger, edged rear 968 emblem. Also, it has option code 740 indicating it did show and exhibition duty for PCNA. Even though this car is #7 it was the first NA 968 that actually made it to North America! #1- #6 were retained and never made it.
A proper detail is in order so I'll keep the pics limited until she's ready for some proper photos.

Thanks guys. Slowly getting acquainted with the car and have only run her around my neighborhood as it's still not registered. Hopefully in a couple weeks I'll get the plates and get her on the open road.

I don't have plans to do many mods...probably leave her bone stock. I think I will put the Cup1's back on her as well but we'll see. I'm digging the look of the Speedlines right now.
Looking forward to being more active on the forum now...I'll pay it forward as much as I can as I know I will be reaching out with a lot of dumb questions!

Very nice, Congratulations! I remember seeing this one on Ebay a few months back. I'm just not sure if it's the first NA 968 to hit North American soil. There are some low number cabs out there. Maybe Jeff would know?

True, a couple of lower VIN cabs but this is the lowest VIN coupe in North America (#7). #1-6 never made it here.

I want it. Had two red coupes. Kept trying to upgrade until I got what you have. A third was aborted in New Jersey when the seller went postal during the test drive. That was for you Raj.
