Here is a rare one. Looks too be in great condition and with super low mileage. 1 of 5 cabs with Chestnut brown interior. All 5 of them are white.

Hey Jeff, I can't open the link and am really anxious to see it. This may be the second of my former cars to hit the market in the last week. Can you send to my e? Maybe I can open it there. You may recall I owned one of the 5. Mine had 10 spoke wheels powdered the same color as the interior. Also, was a tip. My GF drove it. Totally cool car. It landed someplace in the northwest.

Thanx! Not mine but brings back great memories. 2 great ebay stories (buy and sell) go with that car. Mine had matching wheels, tip, black top (luckily), but maroon boot (nice).
Jeff, that interior perfect for either of your cars.

Bob,

Of the 5 white cabs with chestnut brown interior only 1 was a tip so if you think the car for sale is a twin to your old one then your old car was RS840554. However, all 5 of them came from the factory with a matching chestnut brown top and boot so maybe this isn't like your old car???

The matador red is an apple skin colored red so it is different. This is a brownish red.

Jed,
Mine was as shown. Chestnut. Yes my car was 554. But I lust after the true reds like yours.
My DD is a black 986 with chestnut and is perfect. The SY is for sale and the ARTCAR is resting.
I'm looking for a 968 DD. I'm tired of pristine perfect cars. Daily care and paranoia are a thing of the past for me.
I may be towing my next car around the country behind a 38" motorhome while collecting Porsche experiences.
I might tow "ARTCAR" for the novelty and because a lot of people want to see it but I'm also thinking of giving it to Arash early. Don't tell him.
Bob (I used to be Bill)(Jeff your spelchk isn't working)SMIRK!

Sorry Bill,

FYI, one of these 5 twin white/chestnut/chestnut cabs has been repainted silver.

I hear what you say about DD and that is my goal for the matador. 1 of 2 built but with 118k miles on it I'm going to drive it. My goal is the Parade in 2018 in New Orleans!

Several years ago when I bought that car's clone it became my 4th 968 Cab. I still had the famous black one, SY7 and the triple gray. I was in Santa Fe where I kept the gray car. Was on the phone negotiating a claim on the gray car and searching ebay while on hold. The white/chestnut car came up and I wanted it bad. Perfect car for my GF and another car for Santa Fe. The BIN was like $17,950. Adjuster offers me 19K+ to pay the claim and says I can buy back the salvage for $3600. Do the math. While still on the phone I offer $14k for the white car and within minutes the seller accepts. I thank the adjuster for the new car. He doesn't know what I am talking about. I don't bother to explain. 2 weeks later I am back in Ca. Hauler arrives in S Fe with white car and unloads it. GF goes nuts and says its the most beautiful car she has ever seen.
Years later I decide to sell. Place an eBay ad with BIN $19,950. Car lasts 5 minutes. PCA guy in Seattle or Portland wants for his GF and is willing to pay anything to get it. So he did.
I replace white with a red/black cab for GF which she drives until she finds the yellow Boxster.
I miss the white car big time. With tip it was just fun to drive and attracted a lot of attention especially after I did the wheels. Gonna try to find pic to post.

Great story. Hope you are writing a book about all your transactions/experiences. Thanks for sharing.

Interesting idea Raj. Actually, even on the mark. That very item was offered to Pano Pete at the same lunch the Pasha article was proposed. Jim, of course, was a friend of Pete's via Excellence.

Pete approved both but Pasha hands down. 968 Freak article tentatively. Month's later I am scheduled to have lunch on Tuesday with Pete to submit final draft of Pasha. Friday a personal message arrives announcing that an announcement will be announced. (Sorry, that's just my style.) You saw it. Pete is gone and nobody knows where. I'm thinking my 2 year project, all the editing and rewriting and the fabulous pix are all for naught. Not so, and I should have known. Pete had locked in the content for the next 3 issues and Pasha would be there.

Now there is 000 and my 968 thing is just not an item they will be seeking. Way too wacky and homey. That leaves Excellence and Pano. Greg at Excellence is clearly not impressed by my non professional style of writing so that leaves Pano. I intend to submit a draft of either a 968 experience thing or the wacky stories that accumulate over 50 years of Porsche insanity. Jurgen Barth at Laguna Seca. Paul Newman at Le Mans. Totalling a 968 5 hours after buying it. How I came to possess the avatar.

The triple gray cab I was discussing on the phone. The classiest looking 968 I've owned. How do I make it bigger?

Looks like a great original example and priced very well, if the service records and mechanics are all in good running order. Now if it only were a Coupe!
