I just got a splitter from Carnewal, with the euro being 1:1 to the dollar, I thought now would be the best time to get one. Shipped Friday and got it today! Fast!
Anyways, should I just remove my batwing, line up the holes and drill away?
What have others done in the past?
Also is this really a factory splitter? It is polyurethane, has some material/marker stamps and the part number is partially there with the rest scraped off, so makes me think it was done off a copied mold.
Yes with my factory splitter I removed all my tin clips on the bumper cover then simply held up the splitter with 3 jack stands and cardboard shims to put pressure up to simulate the exact location then got under car with a tiny screwdriver and scribed a nice mark through each hole to show where to drill. Then you still the splitter with a 1/4" bit and sandwich splitter in between the batwing/under spoiler and use longer screws to squeeze it all up to bumper cover. The maritime blue splitter makes the car just look faster....

Pretty Easy install ( no special tools ) done quite a few , I started making my own design for my wide body cars ( still tweaking the design ) .
2 jack stands placed on frame rails or A arms area so you have access to the belly pan area , I prefer to use larger washers for more support on my installs. Promotion dp 951
I would love to get one! As was said, "makes the car look faster..."
However, i would be worried about real word obstacles, steep inclines, speed bumps, parking curbs, paper litter...

That's why I got the factory one, as it is flexible, vs fiber glass after market.
Also this is a summer weekend driver now days, will hopefully be able to avoid the tight situations.
At this point its been sitting in a box way to long, time to throw this sucker on!
I had an original HDPE factory one. Didn’t survive “selling” it to my friend. Gone when I got it back. I bought a FRP one from DR-1, it’s significantly more robust. You just have to pay attention. It rubs a little bit at times, but it’s easily repaired with a bit of touch up paint. (I left mine black for that reason)
