Wow - sweet car! Makes this one look like a deal at $27,500 and they are both overseas - http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...lub-sport.html
Details for car listed in PCA
1993 968 CS with 43,000 miles in Clark, MI from SellYourSportscar.net.
Ad text - "Unique opportunity to acquire an extremely rare and highly collectable 968 CS "Club Sport"--a stripped-out lightweight version of the rare 968 Coupe and considered by many enthusiasts to be one of the greatest driver's cars of all time! This ultimate track-day weapon was produced in very limited numbers; a mere 1923 units were hand-built for purists over a 3 year period and it was never available in North America. The Club Sport is an absolute treat to drive; it is more balanced than most modern supercars on the track yet feels perfectly at home in stop-and-go-traffic on the streets (although it's strictly a 2-seater!) making the daily commute a real treat! This rare Porsche, finished in striking Speed Yellow, is 100% original and unmodified and has covered only 69,000 km (approx 43,000mile) from new. It has just been fully inspected & serviced and is ready to be driven and enjoyed! This car is currently located in Germany and is available for import, asking $69,900.00. A very optimistic seller IMHO. One just like this (and already in the US) recently sold on ebay for the same money that a typical US car would bring. I don't remember the exact number but Joel probably does.

I've been watching the Japan 968 auction market for awhile now. A SY club sport recently sold for 17,000 USD. No idea if it was M030 or 220 car. Most regular 968s are between $7-15k.
We all just need to wait a couple more years until the cars hit 25 years old and it is much easier to import. Values will probably rise overseas but drop here.

Ha! Out of storage here in CT.
The funny thing is that the seller states that they made 1,923 CS 968s. That is rare but recall, they made only 2,234 968 coupes for all of the North American market in a 4 years of 968 production!!!
Is M030 not part of the CS package?
With only 99 NA M030 968s made (1 being a tip) i would consider them much rarer.
Still, a great looking and cool car. I hope he gets his money.

No, m030 isn't part of CS package. CS package is the bare-bones 944-style interior and shorter springs, that's it. This CS has no m030.

dont know abt the prices overseas but you'll never get that here.
a 968 like new with 15k mi is probably around $25k.
the so call special edition etc on 968 is stupid. it's not an exotic so such one off means little to nothing to me. the same can be said about the 997.2 4.0 selling for $300k. Stupid money IMO

I don't know where they get 1923. Few sources say there were 1538 CS made. 796 in '93, 464 in '94 and 278 in '95 MY. I think these numbers include January '94 to end of '95 MY UK only 968 Sport what was from factory point of view basically CS with some stuff added back on.

I previously owned a JDM import 1994 E36 M3 euro spec finished in dakar yellow. The car was super clean and it drove really well (minus the elaborate 90's stereo equipment). With our 15 year import rule we're now seeing the odd JDM 996 come in. 968's in Japan are in the 10-15k range but i find most are automatics. I haven't come across a CS yet but i'm sure they're out there.
