Default Muffler - is there a drain hole in the front?

Hello all - I haven't had the chance to inspect under my car, so I figure I'll ask here to see if someone knows.

On Saturday I put a new battery in my '95 SY cab, and then ran it for about 20 min to let the battery charge it for a bit. After pulling it back into the garage, I have a puddle of water under the muffler - under the lowest point by the front of the muffler, not the tip side.

It's been a very cold winter here in the NJ, and it hasn't been driven for quite a while (at least 6 weeks) - and I know that Dodges and Fords have a small drain hole at the front of the muffler to allow condensation and water to drain and not pool in the muffler.

Does anyone know if our mufflers have a similar drain hole? I know there is a hole at the shield at the front of the muffler, and that is what the water seems to be coming from - but is there a small hole at the front of the muffler as well?

Thanks for any help - I haven't been able to inspect it, and we're heading back into a cold snap and getting under the car in the garage is going to suck.

Do you mean the resonator?

You are always welcome to bring it over to put it on the lift.

Raj - thank you for the offer, I just may take you up on it!

I'm talking about the inlet for the muffler itself, the back box, where the dual tubes are there is a shield with a hole in the bottom - I'm getting water through that hole, so I'm wondering if there's a small drain hole in the front of the muffler.

I'll try to get a pic for you today as I'm working in that area on brakes. I don't recall a hole in the muffler.

Just took a quick look in the garage to confirm. There is no hole in my muffler.

Thanks for looking! It looked to me like it may have been coming from the seam of the muffler, I wonder if that weld failed. Thank so much for checking, looks like I have more inspecting to do!
