Default "Pink" 968

I like the rubystone red but what is this color??? I thought it was a repaint for breast cancer but then look at the pictures (link attached), everything is pink! Could this possibly be original?

Wow. They claim it's "as delivered". If it is a repaint, they went above and beyond to strip the car and paint everything.

The 928 and 930 were offered in option 'paint to sample' where you bring in a sample of the color and they would paint it whatever you told them to. Don't know if it was offered for the 968 but I can't see why not.

P2S was offered and 18 of the 4,242 North American 968s used it. I have seen 8 of them and in every case they are some "formerly used" Porsche color. That definately does NOT apply with that pink that i know of. Anyone recognize that color?

I am leaning toward repaint. The trunk wiring looks aged but the paint doesn't, I don't see a build sticker (did ROW 968s have them?), the spare tire area looks a little lean on the color, and the underside pink areas appear to be too bright.
(Oh, and I'll cross pink off my list of colors)

I noticed that late Cup2s (painted black) on the early car which isn't correct so who knows. But talk about thorough. Look at the engine compartment.

For $28,871.17 US I hope you like pink. Take it at face value, but the site says it's the only 968 delivered by Porsche in that color. (You mean someone might lie on the interent? NEVER)
And since it's a Euro car, did they have specific colors only available to them? It also says it's a 1995, did ROW cars past 1993 have the plastic engine glove compartment?

And for anyone interested, here it is, translated

Doesn't that pic of the underneath rear look like it has overspray? And either way, not a very appealing color, even for Mary Kay.

a factory painted car had some overspray on the underside…or at least mine does at the moment…
Jeff, does the 'B" pillar in black give us a clue?

My cars all have overspray underneath.

Yes, that black B-pillar, the 944 style seats, and the engine compartment trim all point to an early car. Looks like a 93 to me.
