Default Deutsche Nine TRS wing installed on car with pics

I got the 968 Turbo RS wing from Deutsch Nine (http://www.deutschnine.com/)installed on my 968 and went out to take some pics this afternoon. I got a splitter from them too but don't have it finished and am not sure I want to deal with having it on the car. The wing is approx $966 new and I had to put another $500 into fitment and finishing.

Looks Awesome! I vote for the splitter and NACA ducts. Also Cup IIs when you get a chance.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Colin - the wing doesn't come with any threaded inserts impregnated into it. My last wing did although don't know if those were added later since it was purchased used. I worked with a fabricator to devise a way to mount it to the car. We ended up going with a route pretty similar to the factory wing mounting by cutting access holes into the side of the base. The carbon adjuster plates are held on with little wood screws into the fiberglass - as designed by D9. I'm not sure how well that is going to hold up in the long run and am looking for other alternatives.

The finish on the fiberglass wasn't too bad - I posted a couple pictures below of the wing as I got it.

I prefer the metal plates over these carbon ones - they are less obvious and carbon can do a job on you if you hit it wrong drying off the car!

How are things coming along on your 968?

Nice... Can you post a pic from the back end showing how flat the center section is?

Nice looking car. The wing goes with the shark fin rocker panels better than the stock by far.

I'm still debating on what wheels I want for it. Otherwise almost everything is ready to go on, just trying to find the time to do it.

Lovely. I love how you've methodically upgraded the key areas of your ride with a little flash to match, Ironically enough my d9 rs spoiler is days away my 968 has been in for the past 2 weeks. My body shop wasn't too happy to work on it as some thinking is involved. I'm rocking a similar setup with painted carriers and carbon center. Are you planning to leave the dry carbon adjusters paint free? I went back and forth on the splitter and ended up going gt racing, really nice shape.

edit.

Is your car corner balanced? Your front looks pretty well even but your driver rear looks sig lower than passenger side.
