Default with all of this talk of wheel offset lately....

Please excuse the ill fitting front bumper...

Also want to take this opportunity to thank Raj for the new wheels. Easy and pleasant transaction.

Thanks! They're 18x10 all around but funny enough i don't actually know the offsets. I had some backspacing metrics provided by the PO and the math said it would work but tire width is always a variable and the Michelin super sports have pretty beefy sidewalls.

265/35/18
I installed my second set of 17x9 et55 cup 2 wheels on the front of my 968 but they didn't clear the m030 front springs with 255/40 bfg rival tires. They just barely cleared the springs (and I mean forcing a paper envelope through!) with 7mm spacers but then the shoulders of my tires rub on the front fenders in hard corners.

You must not have stock springs to fit 18x10 but I'm still guessing your tires will rub on fenders with enough suspension travel unless you roll them.

Nice looking car. When you say you've come to the 'Dark Side', what were you driving before?
Just my opinion but I think your OZ's suited the car a bit better.

So there's at least one 968 in Vancouver.

I'll be moving out there in late September, and would love to see the car!

Funny you mentioned that, I'm actually torn on the looks. The BBS have the typical motor sport look but the OZ Mito's are a pretty cool rim, I may end up keeping them as there isn't a huge amount of rims that look good on these cars. On another note I actually feel the 17's are a more appropriate size for these body cars. Aside from the ride/compliance the 18's look a tad big.

I'm running ground control coilovers up front and rolling my fenders are definitely in the plans. My alignment is near factory specs which doesn't equate to much negative camber. For street driving so far so good but I suspect you're right about rubbing. On a side note I was pleasantly surprised about the driving characteristics with the 10's, they don't handle any different than 7.5 or 8.5 fronts.

Absolutely, I live out in the Tri-cities but in the downtown area during the week for work. Just fire me a PM!

Thanks man. I was on the fence with the BBS but the recent work has really set it off. I have a few final touches to go to go e.g. rear wiper delete, paint bumperettes, install shift kit, and hopefully a set of leather Recaro PP's with color matched backs similar to your setup. I'm looking forward to some interior and engine bay detailing this offseason.....

I love your ride. We're all waiting in anticipation for the big debut!
