Default fog light question

Has anyone ever wired their lights so that all 4 in the bumper run at the same time? In town I usually just run with fogs on since I hate the look of the pop-ups on our cars. I was considering adding a relay to run them all. Also are any of you running HIDs down there on the fogs?

The outer lights, in the projectors, are fogs. They're aimed low and wide, and so they provide little to no usable illumination for regular driving. I use the fogs when it's dim enough that I want people to see me a bit better (like running DRLs), but still light enough that turning on the low beams would be pointless.

The inner lights, in the reflector housings, are secondary high beams. They are aimed high and relatively narrow. You do NOT want to be driving around traffic with them on.

As for HIDs...wait a bit, more on that soon.

Is anybody at least using the fogs as DRLs, without having to turn the Parking Lights on?

Hmm. Under what conditions do the inner regular type lights in the fogs come on? I've only ever seen the outer projectors in my fogs lit.

US spec cars also light the inner halogen reflectors when the high beam is switched on (headlight rotary know turned all the way clockwise and the turn signal stalk pushed forward) and for "flash to pass" (turn signal stalk pulled back, regardless of headlight position).

I'll get there, but things have been piling up so this is on the back burner for at least a few more weeks.
