Thank you! I'll try to get some more pics this weekend. I'd rather have the 6-speed than the tiptronic, but somehow I just connected with this car when I saw it - and honestly, at the time, I didn't know squat about the 968, though I've always been a Porsche fan and could cite chapter and verse on a lot of Porsche racing history.
Quick strory - my brother once owned a 5.0 Mustang when we lived on a mountain in VA back in the late 80's. One evening, we were headed down the mountain in his car behind a guards-red 944. My bro made some smart-guy comment about how much less he'd paid for his car vs. the Porche (and he was a Porsche guy, too), when on the very next curve down that mountain road, trying to keep up with that 944, we darn near swapped ends. On that road, it wasn't about the 5.0, it was about the balance and handling, and about the Mustang hubris that nearly spun us into the woods. I've always believed in karma, but never saw it kick into motion as swiftly as it did on that occasion.
