I've always thought that catback hangs way too low off the back of the car and at an odd angle. Very ugly tip, too. Even if it's lightweight and performs well, the appearance is a deal breaker IMO.

Hey Guys, sorry I have been busy working with the fabricators on a few new projects and also on the 968 exhaust. Its great to see all the people on board and were also excited to release a quality looking, fitting and sounding exhausts that also makes some power. We will start the project after the shop gets cleared out a little. We have a bunch of cars in the shop and two 997TT getting bigger turbo upgrades and full exhaust packages so they will be here for another week or so. We have been looking at the stock exhaust systems and it should be a fun project to make a nice system for the car. I won’t know the pricing until the car is here and we can get a good idea of what it will need, but I think we will sell it in the $795- $895 range. Then we will also make a Sport Cat and Catbypass option for increased power and sound, and for the track guys. We will probably do a nice 4.5” oval Rolled edge tip with a 2.5” single inlet single outlet muffler and mandrel tubing. We may also look at 2.25” if it works better or makes more power.

Thanks again for the feedback and I will post updates as soon as the car arrives. Stay tuned

Alex, Did you look in your records to see what you have done with the 968 before? It was a one time deal but I have talked with your guys before about my exhaust and there were records of the build. You custom built it for a guy that lived near you. I think it is a great exhaust and it might give you some ideas to get started on.

The tip can easily be changed or ordered anyway you like pretty much. Here are a few pictures of my tip (RS Barn full exhaust with down turned race tip).

not everyones cup of tea, but i loved it.

Dude, your pics show like the last 1.5" of
the exhaust. Where's the rest of it that looks bad from behind the car? Besides, this topic is about a new fabspeed exhaust...

im well aware of what the topic is about. You mentioned you don't like the RS Barn tip, i simply said the tip is something that can be easily changed and/or ordered anyway you like.

The rest of the exhaust is hardly noticable as it resides under the car. What you see from the rear is the tip. I posted several pics as it is hard to get a good angle.

That said....it doesnt matter what kind of exhaust the car has. Fabspeed can do any type of tip you want (just like most places can and will). My pics give people another idea. If someone likes it, and they want a fabspeed exhaust...they can order it with a down turned race tip...as now they have an idea of what that looks like on our cars.

Yeah, that's how it should be but RSB exhaust on every 968 I've seen hangs down well below the car at a grossly crooked agnle and looks like it'll get scraped off by the next speed bump. Otherwise I'd have bought one. Actually, I was going to buy one until I saw a few in person so what can I say. I hope fabspeed comes up with something good because I'll buy it. Are you in the market for a 968 exhaust?
