Sunday morning started out good, I was optimistic about adjusting my drivers door handle as you have to squeeze the black trigger really far and tight before the door pops open. Bought new gaskets for each side and was going to make a few hours out of the project.
As soon as the door panel starting coming off I could tell this project would not end this morning. Small mid range driver in speaker array completely disintegrated, additionally PO attempted (poorly) to do something to the tweeter as the poor thing was glued into the housing badly and fell apart upon removal (both sides). Lucky I had a set of these. Have ordered a replacement driver from Parts express for the mid range driver, interestingly the larger mid range/woofer had a rubber surround and was in perfect shape. Porsche still sells the smaller mid range driver for about $ 31.00 but I just figured it would probably be coming from Germany and take forever so I matched it on parts express and payed about the same for a better version.
Taking the door handle off and removing completely so that I could replace the gaskets tests my patients every time. No wonder I have put this off for so long. Now just need to sort out why the passenger door will not lock or unlock properly. I do not think the motor is bad yet.
Fail !
Handle back on the door with new gaskets.

Well two weeks later and the door panels went back together! Speakers arrived very timely....the delay was that I dis-located my shoulder and after having the emergency room put it back in I have not gained any strength or range of motion. (this is what happens when 51 year olds play pickup with twenty somethings, my weekly pickup hockey game turns young when the college kids come home. This could be a "Beer League ending injury"

Hi, I tried this but just could not work out how to work in such a tight space - and I could not imagine how I was going to reconnect the mechanical linkage. Is there a description somewhere of how to do it? Thanks.
